Great Canyon “Gorges du Verdon”, one of the largest canyons in Europe

The Gorges du Verdon is an incredible great canyon and natural beauty, which definitely deserves a visit. The canyon is characterized by varied scenically landscapes which will remain unforgotten. The turquoise river Verdon, in all its beauty, lambed his way through the rocks and empties in the reservoir Lac de Ste Croix.

The canyon can be explored by a round trip as well as by varied ways, such as hiking paths, climbs, pedal boat, rafting, canoe trip and mountain bike.

On your tour you have furthermore varied treasures and places of interest, for example Chateau d’Aguines with its wonderful view on the reservoir Lac Ste Croix, or Moustiers Sainte Marie, one of the most beautiful mountain villages of the Provence with its impressive rocky cost as well as a museum of the history in Quinson.

From the medieval village Bargème of the 12th century, you have a fantastic panoramic view over the valley. Dominated by a feudal castle this location is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France.

In the summertime the Lac Saint Cassien is a wonderful refreshment, and one of the most visited location in the region Fayence . There are a lot of different sport activities on a water surface of 420 hectare :

Sillans la Cascade

The charming site Sillans la Cascade, wich is dominated by an old castle, is located about 20 minutes from the reservoir Sainte-Croix.In the midst of gigantic sycamore trees, more than 100 years old, at an altitude of about 800m, an adorable promenade lead you to one of the most beautiful waterfalls of the region.


Saint Tropez and his citadel

Saint Tropez,– from a citadel of the 16th century to a fisherman’s village at the end of the 19th century, was the first released town after the Provence landing. Dream beaches as “Plage de Pampelonne”, sailing ships and yachts are waiting for you. You can see an accumulation of the most beautiful sailing ships at the regatta in the last week of September.

Promenades from Cannes to Sainte Maxime

Between Cannes and Sainte Maxime you have various and beautiful promenades and panorama tracks.

The massif Estérel with its red rock jut into the sea and formed numerous bays with cliffs and partial pristine beaches. Due to its good water quality the reef invites you to go snorkeling or diving.

Between Marseille and Cassis, with umpteen marked hiking and biking routes, the well-known limestone massif Les Calanques is situated.

Fréjus - Saint Raphaël et ses animations

The beaches of Fréjus and Saint Raphael are only 30 minutes away and the nearest ones from our accomodation. Many shows and corridas are held during the summertime in the restored arena of Fréjus.
